Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to :

  • Manage, oversee, and perform supervisory tasks including : picking, packing, shipping, receiving, labeling, kitting, loading / unloading, putting-away, transfers, cycle and wall to wall counting, auditing and inventory
  • Manage facility storage layout and organizational map; Supervise the daily activities of warehouse personnel to maintain a smooth flow of work, plan for capacity, achieve customer delivery dates, and support company profitability and loss controls.
  • Manage relationships with production team to ensure maximum support and lag time for needed product; exercises extreme attention to detail to ensure minimal waste and movement back to storage
  • Serves as a liaison between warehouse, production, and procurement team ensuring issues with shorts, quality, or waste are reported promptly and efficiently. Ensures product flows in alignment to FEFO / FIFO principles
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for Warehouse Management Platforms(DataNinja (WMS, ERP), iAuditor, etc.)
  • Ensures the appropriate use of safety devices and equipment, general housekeeping, and maintains a constant vigilance for hazardous conditions and efficient practices
  • Ensures all inventory is accurate and handled properly in ERP / WMS throughout the reconciliation / monthly closing process
  • Trains assigned personnel to accurately use warehouse systems, equipment, and tools in line with procedural requirements. Acts as the sites Train Trainer for Forklifts, Lifts, and jacks
  • Confirm production receipts and ensure finished good product put-away from production operations. Identify and communicate warranted improvements to both systems and processes as needed
  • Responsible for ensuring the quality and integrity of inbound ingredients, paperwork, and processes are within specifications (BOL, Seals, Driver ID, Trailer inspection, Trailer #, Pallet Preservation, Wash Ticket, Allergen Labels, COA, PO, etc.)
  • Ability to receive, load / unload trucks, process drivers, and record all inbound, work in process, and finished goods into Data Ninja, recording all damages and non conformances via pictures and paperwork and input into Data Ninja
  • Ensure that all necessary paperwork and documentation is completed thoroughly, accurately and in a timely manner
  • Transports inventory and materials across the facility, stacking and organizing bulk items, and picking / pulling inventory to prepare for receiving, production or shipment. Responsible for utilization of equipment, materials, and people within the warehouse environment
  • Oversee product inspection and ensure all products are in specification as the final stage before leaving the plant
  • Completes all required documentation for warehouse operation (FL inspections, Sign Offs, Inspections, Inbound Paperwork, Data Ninja adjustments) and forwards to QA department for review
  • Maintains housekeeping of the warehouse areas throughout the shift. Responsible for resolving any leaks, spills, debris, trash, labeling, stacking, or transport needs required throughout the day
  • Follow the facility's food safety and food quality programs to assure compliance and achieve desired results
  • Responsible for notifying a person with the authority to take action for any Food Safety or Food Quality issue
  • Reports all non-compliance, product protection and food safety issues to management when encountered
  • Ensuring that the department adheres to the strictest levels of hygiene, cleanliness and adhering to all health and safety rules
  • Represents the in a positive manner at all times.
  • All other duties as assigned
  • Desired Skills and Experience :
  • Bachelors degree or equivalent combination of education & warehouse experience (5+ years, 2+ years supervisor experience)
  • 3+ years relevant work experience in a manufacturing environment. Forklift license and experience required
  • Experience in a fast moving packaged goods environment, powdered or beverage production experience preferred
  • Proactive attitude-able to identify and implement opportunities with minimal oversight
  • Strong organizational skills / attention to detail
  • Solid communication skills - written and verbal - to engage with multiple internal teams
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Flexible schedule, including nights and weekends, ability to stand, sit, move, squat, walk, and climb repeatedly during shift
