Chemical leader has critical need for Plant Equipment Reliability Engineer focusing on establishing and maintaining a reliable operation to improve and sustain equipment reliability. Involves investigating equipment problems, conducting failure analysis, and recommending design modifications. The role also includes managing corrective actions, participating in Mechanical Integrity and Process Safety Management programs.
Qualifications :
BS Mechanical Engineering degree with 3+ years experience in maintenance / reliability engineering of rotating and fixed equipment in chemical, refinery, pulp & paper, or related PSM plants.
Responsibilities :
Grow reliability operation engaging all levels of the organization
Investigate equipment problems and recommend design modifications to improve reliability, productivity, and safety
Conduct failure analysis to determine root causes and recommend improvements in design, administrative, or predictive / preventive maintenance measures
Manage corrective actions generated from Root Cause Failure Analyses (RCFAs)
Participate in the site's Mechanical Integrity and Process Safety Management program
Support team and develop action plans to address reliability issues
Analyze equipment and production history data to identify and prioritize areas for reliability improvements
Develop and issue recommendation memos for key stakeholders
Manage the End-of-Life document and manage the Plant Vulnerabilities list
