Job Title : Structural Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Structural Engineer to join our team, where you will play a pivotal role in client communication, concrete and steel structure design, and project scheduling. Your expertise will ensure that all design requirements are accurately verified and manufacturing collaboration is seamless. You will be responsible for creating detailed drawings and engaging with clients about building site soils and project specifications.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate effectively with clients regarding building site soils and project requirements.
  • Design concrete structures and produce detailed concrete drawings.
  • Design steel structures ensuring they meet project specifications.
  • Create general arrangement drawings, including site layout and approval drawings for equipment orders.
  • Verify that all design requirements are correct and fit for the site.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing teams to address questions and issues.
  • Set up schedules for engineering tasks and coordinate with manufacturing for project timelines.

Essential Skills

  • 5+ years of experience in civil / structural engineering design.
  • Proficiency in structural, civil, and AutoCAD.
  • Experience managing projects from start to finish.
  • Bachelor's degree in civil or structural engineering.
  • Knowledge of Solidworks.
  • Licensed or ability to become a Professional Engineer (PE) or Structural Engineer (SE).

    • Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Ability to effectively represent the company when speaking to vendors, customers, and clients.
  • Potential to become a licensed PE and / or SE.

    • Work Environment

    You will be part of a small team of 2-4 engineers, including the VP, working onsite five days a week. Our company has seen steady growth since its founding, offering unique projects and products.     Job Type & Location

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bradford, Illinois.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $48.07 - $67.03 / hr.
