Responsibilities

  • Accurately and efficiently process payroll for multiple clients using a variety of payroll platforms.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable state and local payroll and tax regulations.
  • Partner with clients to collect required payroll data and promptly address questions or concerns.
  • Proactively conduct audits and identify missing information to support smooth, error-free payroll implementation.
  • Maintain up-to-date employee records, including compensation, benefits, and tax withholding details.
  • Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies in a timely and professional manner.
  • Prepare and distribute payroll reports to clients as requested.
  • Stay informed on changes in payroll laws and regulations, applying necessary updates to maintain compliance.
  • Deliver high-quality customer service by responding to client needs and concerns with professionalism and efficiency.
  • Educate clients on payroll procedures, systems, and best practices to promote long-term self-reliance.
  • Work closely with internal teams to enhance payroll processes and increase overall operational efficiency.
  • Maintain a strong attention to detail while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrate technical proficiency in system configuration, data migration, and customized system setup.

Education

  • Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or Fundamentals in Payroll Certification (FPC) a plus.
  • Experience

  • At least 3 years of experience in payroll administration.
  • Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics

  • Demonstrated proficiency in working with various payroll software platforms.
  • In-depth knowledge of federal and state payroll tax laws and compliance standards.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with both clients and internal teams.
  • Strong multitasking abilities, with a consistent focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Highly organized and capable of working independently with minimal oversight.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word.
