Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in nursing required, a bachelor's degree in nursing preferred.
  • Minimum of five years of nursing experience is required. At least one year of PAT experience is preferred.
  • Current RN licensure in the state of Arizona or obtained within 90 days of hire required.
  • Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), or obtained within 90 days of hire.
  • Essential Functions

  • Assess, plan, evaluate, and ensure the implementation of patient care to achieve identified outcomes and metrics.
  • Deliver safe patient care according to hospital policy and procedures.
  • Assesses patient status by phone or in person and documents appropriately.
  • Works with anesthesia to coordinate care prior to patient admission.
  • Acts as a guide for patients in obtaining necessary testing in preparation for their procedure.
  • Implements appropriate standards of care based on assessment data.
  • Assumes an active role in the provision of quality nursing care.
  • Performs and documents clearances as needed.
  • Sends cases to anesthesia for review, as appropriate.
  • Maintains confidentiality of all facility and patient information as required by facility policy.
  • Knowledge of Electronic Medical Record (EMR) computer charting and is proficient with documentation.
  • Knowledge of orthopedic / medical / surgical best practices.
  • Knowledge of Hospital policies and procedures.
  • The job holder must demonstrate current competencies for job position.
