Apprentice Engineering Technician

Perform assignments on work in connection with the construction, operation and maintenance of the electric systems as qualified through formalized and / or on the job training. Perform drafting work. Maintain record systems. Perform field investigation work. Prepare reports. Employees entering this position shall be required to complete a minimum time in position and will be restricted from applying for other positions within the company for a period of four years.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

Must possess mechanical aptitude and possess a temperament suitable to duties that require patience and accuracy. High school graduate or equivalent, having completed courses in Mechanical Drawing, Mathematics and Physics. Must have and maintain a valid driver's license. Must have the ability to satisfactorily complete the Company training courses. Must exercise good judgment and demonstrate a willingness to learn. Must have successfully completed the Technician-Apprentice Engineering Technician Test.

Required Skills

Must possess a High School Diploma or GED. Must possess mechanical aptitude and possess a temperament suitable to duties that require patience and accuracy. Must have a valid U.S. driver's license and maintain a satisfactory driving record. Must have the ability to satisfactorily complete the Company training courses. Must exercise good judgment and demonstrate a willingness to learn. Must have successfully completed the Technician-Apprentice Engineering Technician Test.

Desirable :

Electric Distribution field experience Degree or technical experience General experience with computer applications Experience working on project work
