POSITION SUMMARY :
Responsible for overall account management : sales, profitability, trade, promotional activities, account growth for assigned accounts in a region. The duties require strategic collaboration to manage all aspects of an account’s performance in alignment with company objectives.
DUTIES / ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS :
- Provide Team Leadership as the main point of contact for the accounts
- Develop strong relationships with account stakeholders and influence decision making throughout the various organizational levels.
- Maintain the company’s commitment to exceed customer and consumer expectations
- Meet or exceed assigned sales goals, expense budgets, distribution and planograms
- Execute account and company objectives : sales goals, trade budget management, collaborate with cross-functional teams to support account activity.
- Collaborate with regional retail support team
- Maintain strong communication with leadership team on all facets of competitive and market intelligence
POSITION REQUIREMENTS :
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field. (AA with equivalent years of experience is acceptable)Experience
3 - 5 years of CPG experienceExperience in utilizing advanced sales techniques / ability to anticipate and fulfill customer needsCommunication skills : ability to communicate in a clear and concise mannerNegotiation skills : Experience and ability negotiating with customers in ways that are conducive to acquiring business while fostering positive relationshipsCapability of using numerical data to identify industry trendsTime management / Organizational skills : Displays goal awareness, assisting in the prioritization of activitiesAbility to work without close supervisionPreferably Bi-lingual : (English and Spanish)Preferably relationships with key regional customers (Albertson Southern, United, El Rancho, El Rio)Knowledge
Demonstrated comfort with data entry and accuracyProficient in Microsoft Excel and WordBe able to create PowerPoint presentations.Industry knowledge : Full understanding of the marketplace and customer base and ability to stay abreast of changes in the market by continuously gathering competitive intelligence
