Links Technology is currently seeking a visionary and highly skilled Systems Engineer to join our client's team in Englewood, CO. Our client is a leading firm in the Aerospace and Defense industry, revolutionizing next-generation mission systems. This is a Contract role offering the unique opportunity for a Systems Engineer to spearhead the development of an Integrated Digital Environment, drive Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) adoption, and play a pivotal part in setting new Systems Engineering (SE) standards and methodologies for the organization.

Responsibilities of the Systems Engineer

As a Systems Engineer, you will be using your skills and expertise to research, architect, model, simulate, test, certify and improve cutting edge products and services.

You'll be developing complex system architectures within contextual modeling platforms, ushering them from operational concept through preliminary and detailed design, simulation, and test using progressive tools.

As a cross-functional engineer, you are in charge of system-level ownership of new products and processes through the product lifecycle.

Qualifications of the Systems Engineer

Bachelor's of Science degree in System Engineering or related discipline and typically 6 or more years of relevant experience

The ability to obtain and maintain a Secret level U.S. Security Clearance is required

Background in mechanical systems or electrical power distribution

Knowledge of requirements management, functional requirements parsing, derivation, and allocation; systems design, systems integration, technical risk identification and management strategies, and Verification and Validation (V&V) principles

Practical knowledge of engineering principles and practices

Practical knowledge of industry standard mechanical design principles, to include, but not limited to requirements management, Model Based System Engineering (MBSE)

Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry

Experience working in multi-disciplinary design and development teams

Experience with requirements management and system modelling tools, such as JAMA Experience or certification in INCOSE standards
