Olli Instructor Lifelong Learning Program
The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) at SVSU offers non-credit courses, lectures, and events designed for adults aged 50 and better who are eager to continue learning in a relaxed, engaging environment. Our instructors are passionate individuals from a variety of backgroundsretired professionals, educators, artists, historians, hobbyists, and morewho enjoy sharing their knowledge with curious learners.
Job Summary : We are seeking enthusiastic and knowledgeable instructors to teach non-credit courses for the OLLI program. Courses typically run 1 to 6 sessions, and cover a wide range of topics including history, science, technology, art, current events, travel, wellness, hobbies, and more.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities :
Supervision Received : General supervision is received from the OLLI Manager.
Supervision Exercised : Functional supervision is exercised over class members.
Minimum Qualifications :
Compensation : Instructors are compensated at a rate of $40 per hour for class instruction time only. Preparation time is not included in the compensation.
