Job Summary

Decision Support Analyst works with the Decision Support team to prepare data analysis projects including developing and presenting clear visually compelling periodic and ad hoc reports. Performs confidential cost accounting duties that include reconciliations and providing feedback to ensure accurate information is being reported. Develops accurate and relevant decision support solutions in conjunction with Jackson Health System goals and objectives used as underlying basis for preparation of proposals in collective bargaining. Ensures data quality and interprets data for decision making. Identifies and evaluates opportunities to improve organizational efficiencies, improvements in quality, clinical & patient centric metrics and financial performance. Reports to department management and aids department management in a confidential capacity.

Duties and Responsibilities :

  • Performs duties for monthly cost accounting. Develops and prepares reports using various specialized tools with proper documentation on methodology and confidential metadata.
  • Prioritize, assess and perform financial, statistical and other data analysis for various customers throughout the organization.
  • Regularly provides confidential data and reporting assistance across the organization to all levels of staff.
  • Continuously maintains a data repository to provide appropriate information that facilitates strategic planning and decision making.
  • Maintains data integrity and accuracy of the organization's confidential software's and systems.
  • Maintains and analyzes confidential information in order to carry out job duties.
  • Demonstrates behaviors of service excellence and CARE values (Compassion, Accountability, Respect and Expertise).
  • Performs all other related job duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications :

Experience

  • Generally requires 1 to 3 years of related experience.
  • Education

  • Bachelor's degree in related field is strongly preferred.
  • Credentials

  • Active license or certification is required as needed, based on the job or specialty.
