Key Responsibilities
- Operate directional drilling equipment to install underground utilities in accordance with project plans and specifications
- Set up and maintain drilling rigs, support equipment, and job sites to ensure safe and efficient operations
- Read and interpret utility maps, plans, and job specifications to determine drill path and locate existing utilities
- Mix and handle drilling fluids and perform basic maintenance on equipment
- Assist with potholing, trenching, and other excavation methods to verify utility locations
- Maintain accurate records of drilling activities, materials used, and project progress
- Ensure compliance with all PURIS safety protocols and industry standards
Qualifications
Previous experience operating directional drills for underground utility installationWorking knowledge of utility construction methods and safe digging practicesAbility to operate and maintain drilling rigs and support equipmentValid driver’s license required; CDL preferredAbility to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasksStrong teamwork, problem-solving, and communication skillsExperience and Qualifications :
Incumbent must possess and demonstrate proficiency in the above responsibilities. Must demonstrate good communications and interaction skills.Must be accurate, detailed, reliable and able to follow orders on projects and tasks with minimal supervision.Must have ability to be proactive and trouble shoot.Solid understanding and knowledge of standard field pipe rehabilitation installation procedures.Must be able to work in extreme work environments, conditions and confined spaces.
