Executive Vice President Of Global Development

The Executive Vice President of Global Development will provide the strategic vision and technical leadership for global development.

Major Duties and Responsibilities :

  • Provide the strategic vision and leadership for public and private development globally.
  • Cultivate new business development opportunities and institutional partnerships globally.
  • Track development across the organization, including funding leads and proposals that are managed within program management units. Coordinate the work of business development staff from the PMUs, to ensure coordination and effective donor engagement.
  • Set annual funding targets, including an unrestricted fundraising target, private program funding target and specific public funding goals.
  • Establish best practices and implement guidance for proposal development.
  • Establish and implement a system for major proposal development, including managing priority competitive bids and supporting the development of strategic funding opportunities.
  • Responsible for reporting trends in public and private assistance and designing annual development plans.
  • Work with program teams to identify top public funding opportunities each year and assist in crafting strategies necessary to secure that funding.
  • For major public funding competitive opportunities, supervise staff to manage the proposal process.
  • Comply with the requirements of the company's Quality Management System.

Required Skills, Experience, and Education :

  • Significant experience in business development (public, private, US and non-US) researching and analyzing funding opportunities, leading successful proposal teams
  • Proposal development experience
  • Ability to plan, set goals, monitor progress and evaluate results
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team in a flexible, dynamic environment
  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills including diplomacy, tact, and the ability to negotiate
  • Excellent communication skills : speaking, writing, and listening
  • Ability to set priorities and manage time effectively
  • Analytical and problem-solving ability
  • Ability to work both independently and as an effective team member
  • Proven ability to prioritize and handle multiple on-going assignments

  • Remain in a stationary / seated position for an extended period.
  • Regularly required to operate a computer, telephone, keyboard, and other office machinery.
