Robert Half is partnering with a growing start up clean energy development company based out of Colorado to add an experienced Director of Accounting Operations & Project Accounting. This role is 100% remote and offers excellent benefits and growth opportunities. This position is responsible for :
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise the accounting operations team
- Manage quarterly and annual close processes
- Oversee the preparation and timely delivery of financial statements, management reports, and other reporting requirements
- Review and approve journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and identify opportunities for process improvements
- Administer or oversee NetSuite system management
- Lead operational and management reporting on a monthly basis
- Oversee project and intercompany billing, fixed assets, and capitalization processes
- Review capitalized cost schedules and ensure compliance with capitalization policies
- Manage lease accounting reviews and documentation (ASC 842)
- Partner with the financial reporting team to coordinate deliverables
- Lead the annual financial statement audit and support transaction processing as needed
- Maintain strong internal controls and ensure accurate accruals, prepaids, and other significant items are recorded
