Shuk is an Eastern Mediterranean restaurant in the Victorian District of Savannah, GA. Our mission is to nurture a comforting space for the community to gather and relish in fresh, honest, and creative fare inspired by flavors of The Mediterranean. We are a locally owned and operated company looking to build a team of dedicated and hard working professionals who are passionate about creating the ultimate guest experience.

An integral part of this team, the Kitchen manager will embrace curiosity, and be excited to help grow a new business in a team oriented environment. The kitchen manager must approach tasks with diligence, organization, and a mindset of ownership and excellence. Management experience with a solid work history in a high-volume casual setting is required. While we consider every application, those with experience, a positive attitude, and verifiable references will be given preference :

The following represents, but is not exclusive, of some of the day-to-day responsibilities and expectations of the position :

• Managing day-to-day culinary operations
• Ability to preform all functions in the kitchen as needed - assisting in back of house positions when staffing restraints require
• Oversight of menu execution to standardized recipes ensuring consistency of product on a daily basis.
• Overseeing all aspects of the back of house scheduling, team building, training, prep, inventory management.
• Maintaining sustainability through time management, labor control, & food cost, and maintaining an inspection ready premises at all times.
• Maintaining quality control, speed and efficiency in execution and culinary brand standards
• Effectively communicating and working with ownership to lead the team to success
