LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a company based out of Portland, OR, to find a dedicated Import / Export Specialist to join their team. This is a great opportunity to bring your logistics and trade compliance expertise to a dynamic organization. In this role, you will support international shipping operations, ensure compliance with import / export regulations, and play a key role in coordinating global supply chain activities.

Location : Portland, OR

Duration : 9-month contract

Hours / Schedule : Monday–Friday, 8 : 00 AM – 5 : 00 PM

Compensation : $30–$37 per hour (DOE)

Responsibilities :

  • Manage import and export documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance with U.S. and international regulations.
  • Coordinate shipments with freight forwarders, carriers, and customs brokers.
  • Track and monitor international shipments to ensure timely delivery.
  • Resolve shipping delays or compliance issues efficiently.
  • Maintain accurate records and reporting of all import / export transactions.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to support global logistics needs.

Qualifications :

  • 2+ years of experience as an Import / Export Specialist or in international logistics.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. Customs regulations, Incoterms, and international trade compliance.
  • Experience working with freight forwarders and customs brokers.
  • Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; ERP system experience a plus.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams.
  • Pay Details : $30.00 to $37.00 per hour
