Summary :

The Epicor Kinetic Support Specialist is responsible for supporting and enhancing the company’s Epicor Kinetic ERP system. This role requires strong functional knowledge of Epicor, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a proactive approach to user support and system optimization. The specialist will provide direct support to end users across company sites and will manage the Business Analyst, including overseeing daily tasks, providing mentorship, and conducting performance reviews. This position works closely with leadership and end users to shape existing processes and develop new ones, with a focus on improving future business performance through effective ERP system utilization.

Essential Responsibilities and Duties :

  • Provide day-to-day user support and training for the Epicor Kinetic ERP system.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve ERP-related issues in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Collaborate with departments (Finance, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, etc.) to identify system improvements and implement solutions.
  • Develop and maintain BAQs, dashboards, reports, BPMs, and customizations as required.
  • Develop, coordinate, and implement test plans with the super users for functional changes, bug fixes, enhancements, patches and upgrades.
  • Coordinate with Epicor support and third-party vendors when necessary.
  • Participate in steering committee meetings to keep business leaders and stakeholders updated on business process improvement initiatives.
  • Assist with data migrations, integrations, and system configuration.
  • Document changes, processes, and system architecture.
  • Manage, mentor, and support the Business Analyst reporting to this role.
  • Assign tasks, set priorities, and provide guidance to ensure alignment with ERP goals and business initiatives.
  • Conduct regular check-ins and annual performance reviews for the Business Analyst.
  • Promote professional development and skill growth for the team member(s) under supervision.
  • Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned to support the needs of the department and organization.

Working Environment and Physical Demands :

  • Work is primarily conducted in a professional office setting.
  • Regular use of standard office equipment, including computers, phones, photocopiers, and other devices.
  • Occasional exposure to a shop environment with potential noise, dust, odors, and fumes when visiting the shop floor.
  • Physical activity includes typing on a computer, walking, sitting, bending, and stooping throughout the shift.
  • Must be able to lift and carry items weighing up to 25 pounds occasionally.
  • May involve moving and handling office supplies, files, and equipment as needed.
  • Qualifications : Minimum :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience supporting Epicor (preferably Kinetic / Cloud version).
  • Strong understanding of ERP workflows in manufacturing, finance, or distribution.
  • Proficiency in BAQ, BPM, SSRS reporting, and Epicor Application Studio.
  • Familiarity with Epicor Admin tools (Task Agent, Company Configuration, User Security).
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, supervise, or mentor other team members.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and documentation abilities.
  • Preferred Skills :

  • Experience with Epicor Cloud infrastructure and upgrades.
  • Project management or ERP implementation experience.
  • Product Configurator
  • Experience with C#, SQL, and REST APIs is a plus.
  • Have at least 2 full life cycle with hands-on configuration, implementation and support experience in Epicor modules
  • Training Requirements :

  • Completion of Oilgear safety and compliance training.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 standards and applicable internal procedures.
