Our client is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Network Administrator to join their team , responsible for managing network incidents, service requests, and supporting various network projects in a manufacturing environment.
Location : Remote OK (Seattle preferred)
Length of Assignment : 6+ months

Responsibilities :
Solid understanding of the OSI model and network layer concepts (Layer 2, Layer 3, Layer 4)Proficient in troubleshooting and configuring network devicesKnowledge of application-aware firewall technologies and SDWAN technologiesUnderstanding of basic authentication and network access concepts (ISE, TACACS, Kerberos, and other AAA services)Assist end-users with resolution of network-related incidents and service requestsPlan, maintain, monitor, and refresh core network hardwareUse standard monitoring tools (SolarWinds, Catalyst Center, Meraki Dashboard) to ensure network availability and eliminate configuration driftTroubleshoot, configure, and operate network devices such as switches, routers, firewalls and wireless access pointsImplement and optimize network solution designs aligned with company standardsFollow standard procedures for deploying new network hardware and servicesManage and maintain network diagrams and asset databasePartner with and support the business to maintain optimal services
Follow all documented standard operating procedures in accordance with IT security policiesEngage with key vendors and service providers as needed for escalation and incident resolutionDrive towards operational excellence by seeking innovative solutions to existing problems and recurring incidentsEnsure network infrastructure is maintained and updated with applicable firmware and security hotfixesAutomate and streamline processes where opportunities are identifiedStay current on industry trends and new technologies by researching and participating in continuous learning opportunitiesKey Qualifications and Skills :
Bachelor's Degree in IT (or equivalent) and / or 3+ years of practical network services experienceExcellent oral and written communication skillsAbility to communicate technical topics to non-technical audiences and build partnerships with key personnelExperience working in a manufacturing environment and understanding the reliability, sensitivity, and critical requirements of network expectationsUnderstanding of IT Service ManagementExperience operating in a multi-cloud computing environment (AWS, Azure, etc.) preferredExperience working with OT / ICS manufacturing environments preferredKnowledge and / or experience with Meraki, Cisco, Palo Alto, Fortinet, VeloCloud technologies preferredExperience with Manufacturing Industrial Switching, specifically Cisco IE and Stratix industrial switch technologies preferredNetwork+, CCNA, PaloAlto or Fortinet Certifications preferredEstimated Compensation Range : $45.00-$55.00 per hour. This range represents the estimated low end and high end of the compensation range for this position.
