Job Summary
The Director of Design Services is responsible for planning, directing, managing and providing oversight of organizational professional design services to ensure that organizational goals and objectives are accomplished within prescribed schedules and budget parameters. Directs the work of a CAD draftsman. Effectively communicates with project owners (Administrators & hospital directors), engineers, field staff, technical staff, municipalities, regulatory agencies, and contractors to keep projects on schedule and prevent surprises. Provides internal and external coordination and collaboration with project partners and stakeholders. This position reports to the Assistant Vice President of Facilities and Property and collaborates closely with the Construction Services and Facilities departments. This position directly contributes to the growth of Lexington Health Inc. The position requires considerable judgment, decision-making and latitude in performing job duties and is expected to function effectively with minimal direct supervision.
Minimum Qualifications
Minimum Education : Master's Degree in Architecture or Design
Minimum Years of Experience : 10 years of experience designing a broad range of acute care and medical office and procedural spaces
Substitutable Education & Experience : None.
Required Certifications / Licensure : License to practice Architecture in South Carolina
Required Training : Proficiency in design and visualization software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and BIM;
Knowledge of building and codes, requirements and regulations
