PROGRAM DIRECTOR II-(T227645)

Description

Directs operations of a programmatic function. Operates with a high degree of independence. Experience with data analysis and interpretation preferred .Responsible for program development, content and administration.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain database of postdoctoral alumni
  • Conduct periodic outreach
  • Identify potential employers and build and facilitate connections for scholars with alumni
  • Analyze and interpret data.
  • Expand current career and professional workshops for postdocs
  • Evaluate workshops and other training programming
  • Summarize and report data.
  • Analyze data to identify trends in postdoc career outcomes at UAB
  • Compare with trends at peer and near-peer institutions nationally
  • Provide reports quarterly.
  • Identify and recommend strategies regarding best practices in postdoctoral training nationally and regionally.
  • Supervise OPE staff. Responsible for assigning tasks, approving time off, and contributing to performance reviews
  • Ensure assigned tasks are successfully completed in a timely manner.
  • Attend sensitive meetings and confidential discussions involving mentor / trainee issues.
  • Manage programmatic expenses and correlate to overall budget
  • Ensure expenses align with OPE mission.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Annual Salary Range : $60,835 - $79,085

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Finance, Management or a related field and five (5) years of related experience required. Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement.
