Assembler

Location : Batavia, Illinois

Schedule :

1st Shift : 6 : 00 AM – 2 : 30 PM

Pay Rate :

19.00 – $20.00 per hour

Responsibilities

Assemble parts using connectors, plugs, jacks, heads, brazing, welding cement, or pot cavity.

Perform required measuring and testing, including electrical testing (hi-pot, ohm meter, meg ohms) and Helium leak testing.

Communicate effectively through all available channels to ensure accurate and timely information sharing.

Perform in-process inspections using basic math, measuring tools, and quality specifications.

Receive, count, and pull parts according to procedures to ensure availability of all required components.

Ensure accuracy of inventory transactions and complete all required documentation.

Enter raw materials into CAS computer inventory system, verify current inventory, and perform cycle counts.

Build boxes and crates, pack products, and verify product quality.

Sequence and organize product shipments according to established processes.

Verify paperwork for prepared shipments.

Maintain flexibility by cross-training and supporting other departments as needed.

Uphold strong safety and quality standards in all tasks.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Computer literacy required for shop floor procedures.

Mechanical aptitude with knowledge of measuring tools (scales, calipers).

Ability to read and interpret prints, drawings, charts, graphs, and shop paperwork.

Understanding of quality specifications and ability to apply them.

Willingness to learn and perform electrical testing (hi-pot test, ohm meter reading, meg ohms, etc.).

Strong math skills, including fractions, decimals, and unit conversions.

Ability to prioritize tasks to ensure efficiency, safety, and quality.

Strong communication and teamwork skills.
