Tennis Professional- Part Time

22-40+ per hour based on experience.

Arch Amenities Group, the world's leading spa, tennis, fitness and leisure firm, is seeking a part-time certified tennis teaching professional for West Michigan Community Tennis / Premier Tennis Center in Grandville, MI. The ideal candidate has experience teaching players of all skill levels.

Responsibilities :

  • Lead tennis instructor for group lessons in the 10 & under, junior development, and adult tennis programs.
  • Promote private lessons and develop personal private lesson clientele.
  • Promote tennis programs to encourage member participation and retention.
  • Maintains the cleanliness of the courts and surrounding areas.
  • Follow the court reservation system to ensure a smooth and even flow of traffic on and off courts.
  • Assist in the coordination of all social and competitive events including USTA sanctioned tournaments.
  • Implement programs for adults and juniors.
  • Attend staff and facility meetings.
  • Promote the facility and its amenities to potential members when applicable.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications :

  • College degree or comparable work experience.
  • Previous Tennis Lead / Supervisor experience.
  • Must be an experienced, strong, successful player.
  • Teaching certifications from PTR or RSPA.
  • USTA Safe Play certification.
  • Experience in promoting and implementing a large and varied program of events, classes, and leagues.
  • Effective leadership skills and a strong work ethic.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Efficient, well organized, and able to handle a variety of duties simultaneously.
  • Energetic, enthusiastic and motivational.
  • Professional manner, discretion, and appearance.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Able to show initiative and make decisions.
  • Proficient in appropriate computer skills and office equipment.
  • Ability to stand for long periods.
  • Awareness of proper body mechanics to prevent injury.
  • This position required the ability to stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, walk, and talk.
  • Ability to lift 25 lbs.
  • Normal work hours : Varied to include nights, weekends, and holidays
