Summary

The Pro Group is a leader in the construction supply and equipment rental industry and is looking for drivers. Drive a light vehicle, such as a truck or van, with a capacity of less than 26,000 pounds Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW), primarily to deliver or pick up merchandise. Loading and unloading vehicle of packages up to 100lbs. A current medical examination card is required. Great opportunity to work for a growing company. Potential employee must demonstrate behavior consistent with the company's vision, mission core values in all interactions with customers, co-workers, managers suppliers. Adhere to all company policies, procedures safety standards. Maintain a safe, clean organized work area.

Duties

  • Obey traffic laws and follow established traffic and transportation procedures.
  • Inspect and maintain vehicle supplies and equipment, such as gas, oil, water, tires, lights, or brakes, to ensure that vehicles are in proper working condition.
  • Report any mechanical problems encountered with vehicles.
  • Present bills and receipts and collect payments for goods delivered or loaded.
  • Load and unload trucks.
  • Verify the contents of inventory loads against shipping papers.
  • Turn in receipts and money received from deliveries.
  • Maintain records, such as vehicle logs, records of cargo, or billing statements, in accordance with regulations.
  • Read maps and follow written or verbal geographic directions.
  • Report delays, accidents, or other traffic and transportation situations to bases or other vehicles, using telephones or mobile two-way radios.
  • Drive vehicles with capacities under 26,000 pounds to transport materials to and from specified destinations.

  • Report vehicle or equipment malfunctions.
  • Load shipments and materials.
  • Record details of deliveries or shipments.
  • Read maps to determine routes.
  • Receive information or instructions for performing work assignments.
  • Notify others of emergencies, problems, or hazards.
  • Operate vehicles or material-moving equipment.
