The Irvine School of Music, one of the largest and fastest-growing music schools in Irvine, is seeking qualified Part-Time Flute Teachers to join our dynamic team. Pay : $26 - $32 / hr to start, with increases based on student retention.Hours : Flexible teaching hours available :MON-FRI : 2-9 PM
SAT / SUN : 9 AM - 5 PMTeaching Needs : We have immediate openings and can add students to fill your schedule.Your Responsibilities :
Teach private and / or group lessonsCommunicate effectively with parents and studentsAssign homework and prepare students for recitalsCreate engaging lesson plansAttend student recitals and eventsParticipate in ongoing pedagogical trainingDevelop students through our unique pedagogical methodsRequirements :
Bachelors degree in Music (or current enrollment in a music program)Willingness to commute to IrvineAbility to pass a Federal Background CheckFluent in EnglishPunctual and dependablePassionate about teaching and knowledgeable about reputable teaching methodsMinimum 12-month commitment for non-substitute positionsPreferred Qualifications :
Experience teaching children ages 5 and upFamiliarity with both private and group classesAbility to teach Jazz and Pop styles alongside ClassicalMasters degree in your teaching areaInterest in working with young children in our early childhood programExperience with students with learning disabilities (ADHD, ADD, Autism)Ability to teach advanced-level studentsBenefits :
