Overview
Kimley-Horn's Pleasanton office is seeking a Project Manager / Structural Engineer with 6+ years of experience to join their Building Structures team. This position is in-person / in-office.
Responsibilities
- Design and analyze structures, focusing on new buildings, rehabilitation and repair of existing buildings, PV systems, and site structures.
- Prepare detailed structural calculations, drawings, and specifications using industry-standard software and tools.
- Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to develop effective structural solutions that meet project requirements.
- Conduct site visits and inspections to assess existing structures and provide recommendations for modifications, repairs, and retrofits.
- Perform structural analysis and modeling using advanced software tools to evaluate the behavior and performance of structures under various load conditions.
- Participate in project meetings, providing technical expertise and guidance to project teams.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends, codes, and standards related to vertical structures, and incorporate them into project designs.
- Manage and oversee structural engineering projects from inception to completion, ensuring all project deliverables are met on time and within budget.
- Coordinate with project teams and ensure clear communication among all parties involved.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, track progress, and handle any issues that may arise.
- Prepare and present project status reports to clients and stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant codes, standards, and client requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications
6+ years experience with a civil engineering design firmBachelors or Masters from an ABET accredited university in the field of Civil EngineeringProficiency in structural analysis software, such as Risa, RAM, or similar.Strong knowledge of relevant building codes, standards, and regulations.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically and creatively.Effective communication skills to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and present technical information to clients.Attention to detail and ability to produce accurate and high-quality work.Professional Engineer (PE) license preferredBase Salary Range : 125,000 - $155,000
