Product Support Sales Representative Position Purpose
Responsible for supervising a team of mechanics to efficiently manage the repair and maintenance of equipment that falls within the scope of responsibility by effectively utilizing the available assets and keeping unproductive time to a minimum
Product Support Sales Representative Essential Functions
Communicates and supports the Kirby Smith vision and core values of One Mission, One Team, One Plan, One GoalAccepts requests from internal and external customers for repairs of equipment within the scope of responsibilityResearch the scope of repair and prepares quotes for customersOpens work orders, assigns the appropriate technician to perform the repairs, and processes WIP within company standardsDetermines which repairs are warrantable and which are to be billed to the customerMonitors progress of repairs and communicates with customers on statusMonitors work in a process to achieve labor goals of a maximum of 60 hours per technicianTracks and schedules factory campaigns and ensures they are completed by setting deadlinesMonitors and tracks parts returnsCompletes all paperwork related to the department accurately and promptlyOversees safety practices of employees and corrects as needed; actively supports and encourages safety training and compliance with all safety proceduresManages employee performance appraisals in a productive and timely mannerMaintains open and continuous communications with the Service Manager on work issues and employee mattersTravels within an assigned region as necessaryPerforms other job-related duties as assignedEnsures consistent and reliable on-site attendanceProduct Support Sales Representatives Minimum Qualifications
High School Education or EquivalentFive (5) years of combined experience as a techgnician in a related field and supervisory experienceProficient with Microsoft Office - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and various web-based applicationsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsExcellent organizational skills to appropriately manage a high volume of department paperworkExperience or training in management concepts and practices, or the willingess and ability to obtain and apply such training in an acceptable and approved mannerValid Driver’s License and a clean driving recordProduct Support Sales Representative Physical Requirements
Pushing / Pulling / Lifting / Carrying up to 50 pounds without assistancePhysical ability to squat, twist, turn, bend, stoop, climb, and reach overheadMust be able to work in extreme heat or cold and wet, damp, dusty, or windy conditions and tolerate exposure to typical noises, hazardous materials, and fumes / odorsPhysically able to mount and dismount equipment continuously throughout the dayAdheres to personal protective equipment (PPE) policy and maintains individual PPE in functional conditionThis position is considered a safety-sensitive position.
