Summary
The Security Engineer demonstrates technical competency in specific cybersecurity tools, technologies, and processes as determined by the strategic direction of IT and Information Security. You will help plan, implement and manage the organization’s information security strategy.
This positions responsibilities include :
- Designing, implementing and monitoring security measures and controls for the protection of computer systems, networks and data
- Identifying and defining system security requirements
- Designing computer security architecture and develop detailed cyber security designs
- Analyze security systems and seek to implement improvements on a continuous basis
- Identify and report possible threats or software issues
- Research weaknesses in systems and network and find ways to resolve them
- Find cost-effective solutions to cybersecurity problems
- Develop best practices and security standards for the organization
- Assist other employees with cybersecurity, software, hardware or IT needs
- Triage, investigate, and respond to threat alerts from security software systems that are leverage as part of the Deaconess Cybersecurity framework
Education and Experience
Proficiency or familiarity with administering security software and processes in the areas of data loss prevention, event log analysis, endpoint detection and response, endpoint protection, privileged access management, and vulnerability management.
Associates or Bachelor’s Degree in Cybersecurity or Computer Science or Equivalent Education preferred.2+ years of relevant Cybersecurity experience preferred.
