Job Description

Join our team as a Mechanical Assembler on the weekend shift, where you will play a critical role in the manufacturing of driveshafts. You will be responsible for operating various mechanical equipment, using hand tools, and ensuring the quality and productivity of your work.

Responsibilities

• Operate mechanical equipment such as cut-off saws, welders, hydraulic presses, and balancers.
• Assemble driveshafts using hand tools, ensuring all components are correctly fitted and secured.
• Utilize measuring devices, including tape measures and calipers, to ensure precision in assembly.
• Interpret work orders and dimensional information from verbal and written instructions.
• Perform testing and troubleshooting to ensure driveshafts meet quality standards.
• Track and manage workflow using production systems via computers, tablets, and scanners.
• Continuously seek ways to improve processes and contribute to team goals.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment and utilize proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Follow all safety protocols and guidelines.

Work Environment

Weekend shift : Friday, Saturday, Sunday from 6 : 00 AM to 6 : 30 PM. The production environment is non-climate controlled, providing a dynamic and hands-on work setting.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Virginia Beach, Virginia.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.25 - $19.25 / hr.
