Medical Staff Credentialing Assistant (On-Site)
Provides administrative support to the Medical Staff Credentialing department through a variety of responsibilities including greeting and assisting providers / students, creating correspondence, and processing paperwork.
Job Responsibilities
- Performs administrative duties such as correspondence, memos and maintenance of general and confidential records with the Medical Staff Office.
- Answers phone and greet guests with interest and support.
- Maintains provider information in the credentialing database.
- Maintains compliance of expirable items such as licenses, ACLS / BLS certifications, malpractice coverage, TB testing, etc.
- May assist with credentialing audits and may assist to conduct internal file audits.
- Assist with administrative functions associated with the onboarding of new providers and students.
- Assist in planning and coordinating events such as the Physician Service Awards, Doctors' Day and Medical Staff meetings.
- Assists in all functions of the Medical Staff Office as directed by the Medical Staff Office Manager.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education Requirements
Minimum : High School Diploma or equivalent experience.
Preferred : Associate degree in health-related field or another related field.
Experience Requirements
Minimum : 6 months or more of clerical and customer service experience.
Preferred : Medical staff credentialing experience preferred.
