Position Title : Director of Nursing (DON)

Location : Lexington, NC 27295

Contract Duration : 17 weeks

Shift : Day Shift | 7 : 00 AM – 3 : 30 PM

Compensation : $2,475 weekly

Position Overview :

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Director of Nursing (DON) to lead the nursing department in delivering high-quality resident care. The DON will oversee nursing operations, ensure regulatory compliance, guide staff development, and work closely with leadership to achieve clinical and operational objectives.

Key Responsibilities :

Provide leadership and direction to nursing staff to ensure compassionate, effective resident care.

Ensure compliance with state, federal, and facility regulations.

Develop, implement, and maintain nursing policies and procedures.

Manage staffing, scheduling, and professional development within the nursing department.

Conduct audits and quality assurance reviews to uphold care standards.

Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate and optimize resident care plans.

Respond to emergencies and provide clinical support and guidance to staff.

Participate in budget planning and resource allocation for nursing operations.

Act as a liaison between staff, residents, families, and administration.

Qualifications :

Active RN license (state-specific).

3–5 years of nursing leadership experience, preferably in long-term care or skilled nursing settings.

Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance and quality standards.

Proven leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
