Full-Time | Night Shift | 2-2-3 Rotating | 6 : 00 PM – 6 : 00 AM

Contract-to-Hire

We’re seeking a skilled Electrical Controls Technician to provide critical night shift support in a multicraft maintenance environment. This is a hands-on role ideal for a candidate who thrives in troubleshooting and navigating PLC systems without relying on engineering support. You’ll be the go-to expert during off-hours, helping bridge the talent gap created by day-shift promotions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and support electrical controls systems during night shift operations
  • Go online with PLCs (Rockwell / Allen-Bradley) using Studio 5000, RSLogix, and Asset Center
  • Navigate control software for diagnostics and fault resolution (no programming required)
  • Respond to maintenance calls across mechanical and electrical domains
  • Work with up to 480V systems, including motors, drives, and servos
  • Perform hands-on tasks such as swapping motors, replacing drives, and mechanical / electrical repairs
  • Operate confidently without frequent supervisor intervention

Ideal Experience

Proven experience in a multicraft maintenance role within a manufacturing or process environment

  • Strong troubleshooting skills with PLCs and electrical systems
  • Comfortable working night shifts and taking initiative in a lead-type capacity
  • Ability to work safely and effectively with high-voltage equipment
  • Familiarity with Rockwell Automation platforms (Studio 5000, RSLogix)
  • Associate’s degree in Electrical Technology or related field preferred
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to “turn a wrench” when needed
