As the Dispatcher at Polk Mechanical, you’ll be the heartbeat of our service operations ensuring that every customer receives timely, professional support by coordinating the daily schedules of our skilled HVAC / R and Plumbing technicians. This role will report to the Service Director of Operations. The role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, loves solving problems on the fly, and takes pride in keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes. Key Responsibilities :

• Communicates with customers, and sales representatives to determine the service and scheduling needs of the customers.
• Generates service calls within the computer program recording the type and scope of work to be performed.
• Works closely with the service manager’s to coordinate technicians according to customer requests, determine schedules, assign technician workloads, dispatch workers to the job, and update service information within the dispatch system.
• Schedules and notifies technicians of daily assignments. Monitors technicians’ workload and capacity throughout the day.
• Interacts with suppliers to verify availability of parts to ensure quality and timely service calls.
• Creates and maintains new customer accounts with up to date and accurate information.
• Follows safe work practices and accident prevention procedures.
• Other duties as assigned by Management.
