The Quality Manager plays a critical leadership role in ensuring the highest standards of product quality and regulatory compliance within the organization. This position is responsible for the strategic development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the Quality Management System (QMS), as well as the effective management of the Quality Assurance (QA) team.
Through proactive leadership and collaboration, the Quality Manager supports cross-functional teams—including Product Development, Manufacturing, Engineering, and R&D—to drive quality excellence across all stages of the product lifecycle. This role is also accountable for investigating and resolving quality issues related to raw materials, in-process components, and finished goods, while fostering a culture of quality awareness and continuous improvement throughout the plant.
In addition to overseeing the quality department’s budget and resource planning, the Quality Manager identifies and leads capital improvement projects (CAPEX) and quality initiatives that enhance operational efficiency, reduce costs, and improve customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will possess a strong blend of technical expertise, business acumen, and leadership capabilities to ensure that quality objectives align with broader organizational goals.
Strategic Quality Leadership
Define and execute the site’s quality strategy in alignment with corporate objectives.
Serve as the primary authority on quality matters, ensuring robust governance of the QMS and adherence to ISO 9001 and customer-specific standards.
Lead quality risk assessments and mitigation strategies across the product lifecycle.
Organizational Development & Compliance
Build and lead a high-performing quality team.
Drive accountability through structured performance management, coaching, and development.
Ensure all personnel are trained and certified in quality systems, regulatory compliance, and EHS protocols.
Maintain a culture of compliance and operational excellence.
Operational Quality Execution
Oversee quality control processes, internal audits, and non-conformance investigations.
Lead root cause analysis and corrective / preventive actions (CAPA).
Utilize advanced quality tools (e.g., PFMEA, SPC, DOE, DMAIC) to drive process capability and reduce variation.
Manage calibration and inspection systems.
Business Integration & Continuous Improvement
Partner with Manufacturing, Engineering, R&D, and Product Management to embed quality into design, development, and production.
Lead cross-functional initiatives to reduce cost of poor quality (COPQ), improve yield, and enhance customer satisfaction.
Manage quality-related CAPEX and support strategic planning with data-driven insights.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or Polymer Engineering
Minimum 5 years of experience in quality management, with demonstrated expertise in ISO 9001 systems
At least 3 years of experience in metrology and the design / use of inspection systems
Solid understanding of OSHA regulations and a strong commitment to safety practices
Proven experience with Six Sigma, Lean manufacturing, and structured problem-solving methodologies
Strong project management skills with the ability to present technical data and insights effectively across teams
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree in a technical discipline
Experience in continuous operations or web-based processes such as metalizing, coating, laminating, or slitting
Professional certifications strongly preferred :

IATF
Lean / Six Sigma
ASQ Certified Quality Manager (CQM) or Certified Quality Engineer (CQE)
