QTEC Aerospace is seeking a SENIOR OPERATIONS AND SUSTAINMENT ENGINEER to join our team of professionals in Huntsville AL. The qualified applicant will become part of a team of professionals representing both industry and government. The successful candidate will be detail oriented have a proven track record and a positive work ethic.

Job Summary

QTEC Aerospace is looking for highly capable and motivated individuals. The successful candidates will function as an integral member of a multi-contractor team providing program engineering and technical support to Missile Defense programs.

Job Duties / Responsibilities

Responsibilities will include but may not be limited to the following :

  • Support day-to-day systems operations and readiness
  • Support the execution of processes and activities that impact Prime Mission Equipment (PME) facilities and associated infrastructure for the Missile Defense Systems (MDS)
  • Support the planning and execution of operations engineering
  • Research and perform technical assessments and maintain ongoing operations
  • Support responsive sustainment capability to ensure corrective maintenance is initiated without extended delays based on issue criticality
  • Support subcontractor management / surveillance / compliance assessments
  • Provide support to Fielding Readiness Reviews
  • Provide support to Ship Readiness Reviews
  • Support a preventive corrective and reliability centered maintenance program strategy that maximizes performance minimizes cost and includes assets in the associated supply chain
  • Coordinate and de-conflict maintenance activities as required by the Asset Management processes

Minimum Education and Experience

  • Bachelors degree in engineering or a related field or equivalent professional experience and 15 years of relevant professional experience

    • Required Knowledge Skills and Abilities

  • Experience with Microsoft Office Products
  • Experience with systems operations and maintenance concepts throughout the acquisition life cycle
  • Experience supporting large scale Missile Defense program
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and prepare and brief presentations to the customer as needed
  • Self-motivated and customer-oriented

    • Security Clearance

    Candidates must currently have and be able to maintain a minimum DoD TOP-SECRET level security clearance.
