PEMEX Deer Park is a highly complex refinery located 18 miles east of Houston in Deer Park, TX, and is a part of the PEMEX group which is a fully integrated oil company in the Americas, working across the entire value chain : exploration, production, industrial processing / refining, logistics and marketing. PEMEX Deer Park provides a diverse and inclusive work environment that employs approximately 1000 employees with another 1200 contractors on site. The refinery’s rated capacity is 340,000 barrels per day and has the feed flexibility to process multiple grades of crudes to produce the high-quality transportation fuels the world needs. The PEMEX Deer Park site is co-located with other 3rd party chemical facilities allowing for further integration and optimization of the refinery and its products. Job Purpose
Oversees the execution of varied maintenance activities across the site and its facilities, including building maintenance, road maintenance, vegetation control, pest control, and HVAC, amongst others. Ensures that there are no impacts to operations and production across the site with a high focus on safety and efficient execution.
Dimensions
- Assists in all phases of identified work, including planning, scheduling, and execution
- Responsible for permitting work and updating customers during execution
- Provides daily direction and leadership to field craftworkers and contractor supervision
- Coordination with numerous stakeholders, including operations, maintenance, security, environmental, procurement, finance, and health & safety
- Manages and prioritizes a continually changing worklist based on risk and customer needs
Accountabilities & Responsibilities :
Leads and / or participates in daily morning safety tailgate meetingsDrives the safety performance of all contractors assigned to their area in support of the site’s safety cultureEnsures compliance with site orders, policies, proceduresKnowledgeable of compliance requirements with regulations regarding usage of herbicides and pesticides (TDA, TCEQ)Executes the agreed upon plan and escalates to supervision when this cannot be achievedEnsures crafts are highly productive through the removal of barriers and escalates to the RWG Team Lead when he or she cannotHas a detailed knowledge of the daily plan and provides direction for work executionResponsible for clear communication of status updates for medium and long-term work activitiesResponsible for timesheet authorization for assigned contractors (Track)Submits RRF’s, vehicle passes, and requisitions as requiredProvides a critique of maintenance activities, participates in lessons learned and lookback processContinuously seeks opportunities to optimize work execution activitiesSpends 75% - 80% of time in the field driving work execution activitiesChallenges

Key qualifications :
Experience with building maintenance including roof systems, HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical, building structures, and renovationsExperience with civil maintenance work including excavations, back filling, concrete work, road repairs and rebuilds (concrete and asphalt)Experience preferred with Total Control for on-site rentalsExperience requirements :
Strong maintenance background with a minimum of 5-7 years of oil & gas experienceDemonstrated experience and skill in managing craftsStrong written and verbal communication skillsWorks effectively in a team environment to deliver resultsLevel “B” permit qualifiedAble to become Level “A” (High-Risk) permit qualifiedComputer skills – Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, etc.), SAP
