Position Summary :
The Contract Administrator is responsible for overseeing the contract negotiation and execution process from project award through execution of the contract. This role ensures accuracy, mitigates risk, and supports operational and financial performance by managing a wide range of agreements, including prime contracts, subcontracts, purchase orders, and lease agreements. The position involves coordinating contract reviews, maintaining organized documentation systems, facilitating communication between stakeholders, and providing ongoing status updates to ensure timely and efficient contract execution.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- Manage contracts with customers, vendors, suppliers, and partners throughout the full lifecycle, including drafting, execution, and analysis, to maximize financial and operational performance while minimizing risk.
- Negotiate terms and conditions in contracts and ensure organizational compliance, manage document changes and amendments during final review and execution.
- Assist in receiving, organizing, evaluating, reviewing, and redlining contracts covering a broad range of transactions, including prime contracts, subcontracts, lease agreements, purchase orders, and related engineering, design, procurement, construction, and real estate agreements.
- Create and maintain a centralized contract database and organized file structure for easy access and retrieval of contract documents.
- Communicate and manage the contract review and submittal process, including determining the required level of review based on business unit needs and coordinating with internal teams and attorneys.
- Collaborate with the Preconstruction team on contract and exhibit management for proposals.
- Schedule internal and external calls or meetings as needed to facilitate contract discussions, and take detailed notes to ensure accurate follow-up.
- Work with Project Managers to identify execution deadlines, manage timelines, and support negotiation and execution of Limited Notices to Proceed (LNTP) when required.
- Prepare and distribute monthly contract reports and provide status updates to ensure timely contract execution.
Qualifications and Expectations :
Bachelor’s degree or paralegal training, and significant experience in legal contract review and redlines.Experience working with engineering and construction contracts and the construction industry.Knowledge of Renewable EPC industry practices and organizational skills is preferred.Experience using Sage is preferred.Proficient understanding of key contract language and legal risks.Ability to read and interpret technical documentation and confirm the presence of required terms and conditions, as well as identify potentially problematic areas.Proficiency in the redlining process in Microsoft Word, Excel and PDF formats.Effective teamwork, communication and interpersonal skills.Exceptional attention to detail and talent for accuracy and precision.Experience and skill in negotiating contract terms and conditions, including both in-person and virtual meetings.Salary Range : $75,000 - $125,000
