The Role

The Deputy Principal assumes a pivotal role, working closely with the principal and the leadership team to shape the school's identity.

Educational leadership is a key responsibility, involving the active development and promotion of our values, ethos, and priorities. The Deputy Principal champions a collaborative approach, encouraging not only staff but also volunteers and community members to actively share ownership of the school's vision and goals.

The Deputy Principal oversees school operations, ensuring alignment with the School Plan through policy implementation and school decision-making) Additionally, the Deputy Principal fosters a culture of continuous improvement in staff development and professional performance, while playing a vital role in the daily management of staff and student well-being, behaviour, and learning needs. The role also encompasses the operational management of various schedules.

The successful applicant will ideally demonstrate a proven track record in supporting Students at Educational Risk (SAER), including the effective case management of students with complex needs and the successful coordination of disability funding submissions. They should provide evidence of leading staff in SEN planning and implementing targeted strategies that improve student outcomes.

We require a Deputy Principal who has the proven sustained capacity to build and support teaching teams to deliver consistent practice across the school and support safe, positive learning environments. Applicants with high level curriculum knowledge and leadership within the K-2 Phase of Learning and embedding intentional play-based are strongly encouraged to apply.
