Director of Biblical Studies Recruitment

Faulkner University is seeking a dynamic, innovative, and appropriately qualified individual to serve as Director of Biblical Studies Recruitment for the V. P. Black College of Biblical Studies. The Director will serve as principal recruiter and oversee the evaluation and refinement of recruiting programs for the College of Biblical Studies that are directed to specific individuals and congregations. This position reports directly to the Dean of the V. P. Black College of Biblical Studies. Faulkner University is a Christian university affiliated with the churches of Christ.

This is a full-time (40 hours per week) position.

Summary of Duties :

  • Represent the College of Biblical Studies in public appearances such as college / graduate school affairs, forum and career days, church and church-related events
  • Coordinate on-campus events and tours for new and prospective students and applicants
  • Arrange speaking engagements for College of Biblical Studies faculty and Zorn scholars (undergraduate scholarship recipients for Biblical Studies)
  • Develop promotional, recruiting materials and communications for the College of Biblical Studies
  • Plan, organize, and assist in the involvement of the campus community in the student recruitment efforts
  • Assist in the administration of the budget for Biblical Studies Recruitment
  • Meet yearly with the Zorn Scholarship Committee to evaluate the program and propose needed changes
  • Frequent travel, as well as evening and weekend hours, will be required

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred
  • Prior experience in admissions or recruiting preferred
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
