Job brief
We are seeking a Salesforce Communications Cloud Business Architect with strong expertise in telecommunications order management processes and asset lifecycle management . This role combines business analysis and solution design responsibilities, working closely with business stakeholders to capture requirements and translate them into actionable technical tasks for Salesforce Communications Cloud (Vlocity) project team. The ideal candidate will have both business process expertise and a solid understanding of the Salesforce Industries (Vlocity) ecosystem, including CPQ and Order Management.
Responsibilities
- Engage with business stakeholders to gather, document, and validate requirements related to order management, service fulfillment, and asset lifecycle in a telecom environment
- Analyze and map current business processes, identifying gaps and opportunities for improvement using Communications Cloud capabilities
- Translate business requirements into clear, structured user stories, functional specifications, and technical tasks for delivery teams
- Work closely with solution architects, developers, and QA teams to ensure alignment between business needs and technical solutions
- Collaborate on the design and optimization of product catalogs, order capture flows, and service decomposition rules within Salesforce Industries
- Provide expertise in telecom asset lifecycle management, including provisioning, activation, and change processes
- Support backlog prioritization, sprint planning, and agile ceremonies as the business liaison for order management workstreams
- Facilitate workshops, demos, and walkthroughs with both business and technical teams to ensure mutual understanding of requirements and solutions
- Document business process flows, use cases, and system interactions to ensure transparency and maintainability of solutions
- Stay current with Salesforce Communications Cloud and Vlocity product features, and advise on best practices
Requirements
Bachelors degree in Business, Information Systems, or a related field5+ years of experience in telecom BSS / OSS or CRM projects, with a strong focus on order management and asset lifecycle processesHands-on experience with Salesforce Communications Cloud (Vlocity), including CPQ and Order Management modulesStrong business analysis skills with proven experience translating business needs into technical requirementsKnowledge of telecom industry processes such as product catalog management, order-to-activate, provisioning, and change managementFamiliarity with OmniStudio (OmniScripts, DataRaptors, Integration Procedures) and their role in business process automation is a plusExperience working in Agile delivery environments (backlog refinement, story writing, and sprint ceremonies)Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to bridge business and technical discussionsSalesforce certifications such as Industries CPQ Business Analyst or OmniStudio Consultant are desirable
