Phlebotomist

Job Description

We are seeking skilled phlebotomists to draw patients' blood and perform specimen processing within a doctor's office setting. This role involves the collection and receipt of biological specimens, accurate entry into the computer system, and preparation of samples for testing. You will also be responsible for pre and post aspects of analytical testing and perform specified analytical testing as assigned.

Responsibilities

  • Draw blood and perform specimen processing in a doctor's office.
  • Collect and receive biological specimens and ensure accurate entry into the computer system.
  • Prepare samples for analytical testing and distribute specimens to the proper analytical areas.
  • Responsible for pre and post aspects of analytical testing.
  • Follow the guidelines of the Code of Conduct.

Essential Skills

  • 2-3 years of phlebotomy experience required (donor, plasma, and MA phlebotomy do not qualify).
  • Proficient in blood draw and specimen processing.
  • Comfortable working independently.
  • GED or High School Diploma required.

    • Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience in a laboratory setting preferred.
  • Patient care skills.

    • Work Environment

    Work as a phlebotomist inside a doctor's office, drawing blood from patients and working closely with medical assistants. The position operates Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 1 PM.     Job Type & Location

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chandler, Arizona.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $23.36 / hr.
