Drafter / Designer

We are seeking a skilled Drafter / Designer proficient in SolidWorks. The ideal candidate will have experience with weldments, assemblies, and detailed machine parts. A solid understanding of Bills of Materials (BOMs) and standard engineering department processes is essential. Manufacturing experience and the ability to perform hand calculations in a production environment are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed designs using SolidWorks.
• Work with weldments, assemblies, and detailed machine parts.
• Understand and implement BOMs and standard engineering department processes.
• Collaborate with team members and take initiative on design input.
• Visit the production floor as needed to ensure design accuracy.

Work Environment

This position is set in a blue-collar environment that includes a machine shop, welding, and painting facilities. The production / assembly floor is non-air-conditioned. The design team primarily works in the office but will visit the shop floor as needed to ensure design integrity.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $32.00 / hr.
