Job Description

To create complex, specialized data queries, exports and reports for Foundation staff and partners. To identify data integrity issues within the donor database (“Raiser’s Edge”) and lead and direct efforts to remediate and to develop quality controls and procedures. To partner with the IS&T and Corporate Finance teams to ensure donor / prospect preferences and data is accurate and current in support of the Foundation’s philanthropic efforts.

Experience

  • At least 5-7 years of experience required in fundraising and / or database management in the non-profit industry
  • At least 5-7 years of Blackbaud experience required
  • At least 5-7 years of experience in developing complex database queries, exports and management reports (Crystal Reports or SQL experience highly preferred)
  • Project management experience required

Preferred Qualifications

  • Fundraising and / or database management experience for a healthcare provider
  • Experience with Luminate Online or other online philanthropic solicitation applications preferred
  • Advanced skills in management and functionality of Blackbaud and Omatic Suites products
  • Education

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Certification Summary

  • Blackbaud - Raiser’s Edge Fundamentals & Professional Certification (bCRE) within one year of hire date
  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office and Window Operating Systems
  • Demonstrated skill at typing 50 error-free words per minute.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to interact with teammates, customers, and teams across the organization
  • Aptitude for detailed work and strong analytical / problem solving skills
  • Must be reliable, adaptable, and self-driven with a clear focus
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information

  • Job Responsibilities

  • Builds complex queries, exports, reports, and custom (Crystal) reports for the Foundation Staff and Partners.
  • Identifies data anomalies and inconsistencies and lead data quality initiatives.
  • Works directly with IS&T partners and software developers when needed to build and maintain Blackbaud software customizations.
  • Prepares and processes import files through Import Omatic as well as standard Raiser’s Edge Import.
  • Creates and updates appeal record coding and work with Development officers to create appeals that will be useful and beneficial for reporting needs.
  • Performs Global Adds, Global Changes and Global deletes as requested to handle larger data cleanup projects as requested by the Foundation or identified as needs through data quality checks.
