About The Role
This is a full or part-time position that offers flexible scheduling. The 6 : 00 am-6 : 00 pm hours are ideal to accommodate the various scheduling needs of patients and their families.
Job Description
Under the Director of Nursing's guidance, the LPN nurse promotes and restores patients' health by completing the nursing process; collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary team members, providing physical and psychological support to patients, friends, and families; and supervising assigned team members.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assists in carrying out rehabilitation programming and activities for patients, such as the development of social skills, development of daily living skills
- Provides personal care services to patients including oral hygiene, bathing and hair care as needed, nail care, diapering, and dressing
- Provides bed care to patients, repositioning, ambulating, and assisting with elimination needs. Moving to and from wheelchairs, etc.
- Administers medications to patients orally, intra-, or via feeding tube subcutaneously
- Monitors effects of medications records medication is given and patients' reactions
- Observe and monitor the movement and activities of patients in their home
- Assists / reviews MAR monthly and as needed to ensure accuracy
- Applicants must be able to travel .
TREATMENTS AND PROCEDURES
To ensure that patients are receiving the best quality of care, experience with the following conditions is REQUIRED :
Experience in a pediatric care setting, preferably with medically complex patientsValid LPN as issued by the Florida Board of NursingCPR and First Aid certifications requiredMust be able to pass a Level II background checkMust be able to regularly lift and carry at least 50 lbs. safelyExceptional written and verbal communication skillsExceptional time management and attention to detailPrompt documentation and reporting skillsKnowledge of Registered nursing techniques and methodsKnowledge of medications and treatments used in patient careTo ensure that patients are receiving the best quality of care, experience with the following conditions is REQUIRED :
