Position Overview :

The Manager, Marketing Data Services is a strategic and leadership role responsible for overseeing a team that delivers data-driven insights, reporting, and campaign data management to support HomeServe’s marketing efforts. This position plays a critical role in driving the effectiveness of marketing campaigns for HomeServe utility partners and HVAC businesses through the thoughtful use of data, while also ensuring that the team operates efficiently and collaboratively.

The position supports the marketing department by actively communicating analysis to upper management and engaging in conversations regarding future Direct Mail response rates and targeting as well as strategies for retention rate improvement, all while advocating for data-driven decision making throughout the organization.

The position reports to the Director, Marketing Data Services.

Responsibilities :

  • Managing all aspects of HVAC and HVAC data integration into HomeServe marketing campaigns, ensuring timely and accurate availability of data for campaign use.
  • Writing complex SAS / SQL procedures, functions, scripts and queries as well as creating and implementing customized databases for various business needs.
  • Timely and accurate production of counts and data files for acquisition, cross-sell and retention campaigns using SAS programming.
  • Cleansing and standardizing partner files for use in marketing campaigns using specialist data cleansing software (SAS DataFlux).
  • Acting as the point of contact for trouble shooting campaign file issues, working cross-functionally to resolve data or delivery problems quickly.
  • Supporting campaign execution timelines by proactively managing data inputs, validation, QA processes, and file delivery schedule.
  • Supporting the responses to customer and partner complaints about data use through data mining and investigations.
  • Responding to ad-hoc analysis and execution requests to provide insight into HomeServe USA's marketing effectiveness.
  • Seeking and implementing ways to automate the production of data and counts for campaign activity.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of two data professionals; provide guidance, set goals, and manage performance to ensure team success.
  • Promote a culture of data governance, ensuring all data is managed with care, accuracy, and adherence to compliance, quality control, and risk mitigation standards.

Oversee and manage HVAC and HVAC data integration into marketing campaigns, ensuring data accuracy and timely availability.

Develop, write, and execute complex SAS / SQL code for campaign selection, analysis, and database management.

Promote data governance, compliance, and quality control; ensure risk mitigation and adherence to standards.

Cleanse, standardize, and validate campaign data; manage QA processes to support campaign execution timelines.

Job Requirements :

  • Bachelor’s degree (mathematics / statistics / economics / computing or other numerical based)
  • 8 years’ work experience in a commercially data driven / analysis role
  • SAS / SQL experience (5 years+ in a commercial environment)
  • Data visualization software experience, ideally Tableau (5 years+ in a commercial environment)
  • Database design and infrastructure experience
  • Excellent analytical skills along with the ability to troubleshoot issues related to data collection and reporting
  • Strong Microsoft Excel ability
  • Solid organizational skills and ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong written communication skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Direct Marketing data processing experience

    Salary Range : $98, - $131,

    Annual Bonus Potential : 10%
