Employment : Irregular part-time
Numbers of hours per week and per month subject to scheduling by Nursery Coordinator.
Purpose of the job : to serve the Church by assisting in carrying out its vision of “ Encouraging one another to follow Jesus wherever we live, work, and play.” Specifically to supervise children in need of care in the nursery or class rooms.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities :
- Provide supervision and personal care to children at all times.
- Demonstrate physical, emotional, and intellectual competence necessary for self-control and good judgement when performing assigned responsibilities.
- Recognize and respect the uniqueness and potential of all children, their families and culture.
- Interact frequently with children, showing affection, interest and respect.
- Foster developmentally appropriate independence in children.
- Follow Nursery Coordinator’s direction and rules of conduct of Covenant Presbyterian Church.
- Follow Covenant Presbyterian Church’s policy on sign-in and sign-out procedures.
- Provide age-appropriate activities for child or children when appropriate.
- Fluently speaks and understands English.
