Gastrointestinal / Genitourinary Unit Job Summary

The Gastrointestinal / Genitourinary Unit (GI / GU) is a 19-27 bed inpatient medical surgical unit offering 24-hour care to adult and geriatric patients with diverse gastrointestinal and genitourinary diagnoses such as : abdominal pain of unknown etiology, gallbladder disease, GI bleeds, surgery of the colon, gallbladder, liver, pancreas, prostate and spleen infections, neoplasms, and ostomies. We offer continuous pulse oximetry in 8 rooms for patients requiring this type of monitoring post-operatively. We are committed to quality care patient and staff satisfaction.

Job Summary

As a member of the patient care team the RN provides safe age-appropriate patient care and functions as an advisor and resource for patients and their families.

Requirements :

• Associate's degree or diploma in nursing.
• Less than 1 year of experience.
• Licensed as a registered nurse registered to practice in Maryland.
• American Heart Association CPR certification.
