The Role
As our Controller, you will be responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of our company. This includes managing our accounting team, developing and implementing financial strategies, preparing financial reports and budgets, and ensuring compliance with all financial regulations and standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll
- Develop and implement financial strategies to improve company performance and profitability
- Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management review
- Oversee budgeting process and provide analysis of variances between actual results and budgeted targets
- Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and standards, including GAAP and tax laws
- Manage and develop accounting team, providing leadership, training and support as needed
- Collaborate with other departments to identify areas for improvement and implement cost-saving measures
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (Master's degree preferred)CPA certification highly desirableMinimum of 5 years experience in a similar role, preferably in the construction industryExtensive knowledge of accounting principles and financial analysisStrong leadership skills with the ability to manage and develop a teamExcellent written and verbal communication skillsProficient in Microsoft Office and accounting software (QuickBooks preferred)Benefits
