Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Machinist to set up CNC mills and lathes for production runs. This role involves writing, editing, and optimizing CNC programs both manually and using CAD / CAM software. The ideal candidate will interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and CAD models, perform inspections to verify part dimensions against specifications, maintain equipment, and ensure machines operate at peak performance.

Responsibilities

• Set up CNC mills and lathes for production runs.
• Write, edit, and optimize CNC programs by hand and using CAD / CAM.
• Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and CAD models.
• Perform inspections and verify part dimensions against specifications.
• Maintain equipment and ensure machines operate at peak performance.
• Order, stock, and maintain tools needed for the jobs.
• Collaborate with production to improve processes.

Work Environment

This role operates in a manufacturing environment with a shift from 7 am to 3 : 30 pm, Monday through Friday. The role requires occasional physical activities such as sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling. Employees must frequently lift and / or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00 / hr.
