Job Title : Software Engineer (TS / SCI + CI Poly Required)

Location : Multiple U.S. Locations | 100% Onsite

Openings : 10 Positions

Employment Type : Full-Time | Direct Hire

Compensation : $200,000 $300,000 base + Full Benefits + Relocation

About the Opportunity

Northwest Talent Solutions is hiring Software Engineers on behalf of a premier federal contractor supporting one of the most nationally significant and fast-paced mission environments in the country. This program delivers next-generation enterprise security, advanced analytics, and cloud-based capabilities. Youll join a high-performing Agile team supporting real-time operational systems critical to U.S. national security.

What You'll Do

  • Develop, test, and deploy scalable software in a DevOps and Agile / SAFe environment
  • Use modern engineering tools to write reliable, efficient, and modular code (Java, Python, C / C++)
  • Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, and behavior-driven development (BDD)
  • Collaborate with engineers, testers, and product owners to meet mission-critical timelines
  • Build test automation, reusable components, and shared libraries across teams
  • Ensure code security and performance standards are met from day one

Required Qualifications

  • Active TS / SCI with CI Polygraph (no exceptions)
  • Bachelors in Computer Science or related field (experience may substitute)
  • Strong Java development experience
  • Proficiency with several of the following :

    • Python, C / C++, SQL, PowerShell, PERL, SOAP / WSDL

  • Eclipse, Jenkins, Postgres, Oracle
  • UI technologies (HTML, XML, XSLT)
  • Experience developing on Windows and / or Linux platforms
  • Proven track record working in Agile teams with secure coding principles

    • Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with :

    • JEE, Tomcat, WebLogic, JBoss

  • Behavior / Test Driven Development (BDD / TDD), Selenium, Cucumber
  • Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)
  • Secure software development (Layer 7, policy-based enforcement)
  • SAFe certification or experience in a SAFe team environment
  • High-level requirements analysis and continuous integration workflows
