Overview

Coordinates credentialing activities and other duties that support provider onboarding activities for the region. Serves as effective liaison between the provider and the facilities throughout the credentialing process. Responsible for understanding State and Federal Regulatory Agencies requirements, accreditation compliance, and other critical matters that affect the healthcare environment. Performs other duties as assigned in an effective competent manner.

  • Initiates initial / reappointment credentialing instance. Assigns credentialing files to the coordinators for processing.
  • Responsible for entering, updating, and maintaining all provider data in the system per policy.
  • May assist with provisioning new providers for network access. Must be available to guide practitioners through the online application process and clearly communicate requirements.

Qualifications

In addition to bringing your whole self to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following :

  • Minimum of (1) years of experience in a Hospital Administrative Department or Credentialing Verification Organization (CVO). Comparable healthcare work experience may be considered.
  • Associates degree preferred. In lieu of educational requirements previous work history and years of experience may / will be considered.
  • Certified Professional Medical Services Management (CPMSM) and / or Certified ProviderCredentialing Specialist (CPCS) Certification preferred.
  • Physical Requirements - Sedentary work - prolonged periods of sitting and exert up to 10 lbs. force occasionally

    Pay Range

    20.13 - $30.65 / hour
