Unarmed Airport Security Officer - El Paso- TX

KR is accepting applications for experienced Unarmed Security Officers to provide security guard and patrol security services in El Paso, Texas at the El Paso International Airport.

Duties / Responsibility

Unarmed Security Officers shall perform all tasks in accordance with the duties outlined within the Post Orders and the Performance Work Statement. Duties include but are not limited to :

Maintain order and security, and remain professional, courteous, and respectful.
Arrive on time, completely outfitted, and ready for duty.
Adhere to customer policy and maintain confidential data.
Assist in inspection of interior and exterior of building.
Complete building inspection report.
Assist customer at entrance scanner.
Patrol halls throughout buildings.
Monitor for suspicious items or activities.
Respond to calls for assistance, as needed.
Provide breaks / relief to security staff.
Monitor parking lot and employee entrance / exit.
Complete daily logbook entry.
Ensure the safekeeping of all keys, access cards, fobs, and codes.
Assist with parking enforcement with movement of vehicle traffic.
As needed, screen aviation worker employees, including pat downs, security wanding and biometric hand swabbing to detect / identify trace level explosives and precursors.
Provide controlled access to secure areas and or inspect vehicles entering into secure and non- secure areas of the El Paso International Airport.

Qualifications

Eighteen (18) years of age.

High school graduate or equivalent certificate.

At least one (1) year of experience in security / law enforcement work.

Must possess a Texas Private Security License.

Must undergo a fingerprint based Criminal History Records Check (CHRC) and Security Threat Assessment (STA) in

accordance with TSA regulations.

Complete a background check with no clear criminal record, and not on any type of probation, no convictions, or charges for any form of domestic violence.

Must obtain and maintain an Airport Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) at all times.

Shall fluently speak, read, comprehend, and compose coherent written reports in English. Must be able to pass an English Language Assessment Test.

Read, understand, and apply printed rules and directions.

Stand and / or walk for an entire shift, run and climb stairs.

High School Diploma or equivalent certificate (Required)

License

Texas Private Security Officer License (Required)
